The Hindu newspaper reported on March 15, 2024 that the Indian Army Aviation Corps raised the first squadron of Apache attack helicopters in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, to support ground operations near the Pakistan border. The Apache helicopters are equipped with the latest technology, including AGM 114 Hellfire anti-tank missiles, Stinger missiles, and Hydra-70 unguided missiles. The Hellfire missiles are effective against armored vehicles, while the Stinger missiles neutralize airborne threats, and the Hydra-70 missiles target ground-based threats. The Apache helicopters can reach a maximum speed of 280 km/h
